I don’t know about you, but I like saving money. Unlike a lot of other people, I actually look forward to getting my semi-weekly flyers in the mail, as well as the other ads that come with the community newspaper. The trouble, of course, is that I end up spending a lot of time clipping those coupons. Time is money, and unfortunately, the paper versions of these flyers don’t have a search function.
And that’s why sites like Coupon Sherpa are positively fantastic. Instead of spending hours sifting through piles of newspapers and flyers, I can hand-pick the free coupons that I want from the website. There are all sorts of printable coupons, giving me deals on just about anything that I need to buy.
Saving Money with Coupons
The tagline for Coupon Sherpa is “Save More at Every Store.” That isn’t terribly far from the truth, given the huge range of online coupons that you can find on this site.
Shown below is a screenshot that I took of the homepage. As you can see, I can get my electronics fix by saving on gear at NewEgg and TigerDirect, but I can also get some great gifts for my friends and family through Kohl’s and The Children’s Place too.
All in all, there are more than 5,000 coupons to be found at Coupon Sherpa. They range from getting 25% off patio furniture at Sears to saving $10 off a purchase at a Build-A-Bear Workshop. The variety is truly astounding, including all kinds of everyday buys like Swiffer products, Special K cereal, and groceries at Target.
To help keep you on track, the main homepage will always display the “best coupon codes” of the day, as well as the best printable coupons and the best grocery coupons of the day. Coupon Sherpa has been featured on such prominent news outlets as ABC News, CNN Money, Good Morning America, Time Magazine, and Wired. This gives you great assurance that they’re doing something right, and you know that they’re legitimate.
Different Types of Coupons
While you could waste hours clipping away at physical coupons in a weekly mailer, Coupon Sherpa makes the process a heck of a lot easier. That’s because there is a handy search bar right at the top of the page. Look for any kind of coupon you want for any kind of store you need to visit.
Beyond that, you’ll also find that there are various types of coupons available. In addition to the online coupons (which are in the form of coupon codes to use at various e-stores), you’ll find printable coupons, grocery coupons, and even mobile coupons. Under each of these main headings, you can further narrow it down based on categories like clothing, department stores, home and garden, pizza, shoes, travel and luggage, and sporting goods.
Many of the store coupons are available as mobile coupons. This is fantastic for several reasons. First, it means that you can save a few trees by not having to print out a physical coupon to show to the cashier when you buy what you want to buy. Second, it means that you don’t have to go digging through your purse or wallet to find the desired coupon when it comes time to redeem it. Third, you’ll surely have your phone on hand, so you won’t forget to bring your coupon either.
And it also means that you can look for free coupons on the fly. If you happen to be buying something unexpectedly, do a quick look through the Coupon Sherpa mobile app before heading to the till. This is by far one of the easiest ways to save money. I also like how the mobile app also gives you the ability to search for nearby stores that honor that coupon, just in case you happen to find yourself in a less familiar part of town.
For now, the app is only available for iOS, but they’re working on apps for Android and BlackBerry too.
A Penny Saved Is A Penny Earned
How can I save money on everything from iPods to fine jewelry? Without a doubt, finding all sorts of coupons online is a fast and easy way to put a few bucks back into your pocket, both when you shop online and when you shop in stores.
The range of online and printable coupons on Coupon Sherpa is really quite amazing. It also helps that there is a built-in rating system, allowing community members to say whether or not an online coupon code worked. If enough people say the coupon doesn’t work for them, it can get pulled from the site. That keeps it all clean and effective.
Who knew saving money could be so easy?
